Broker VPS Directory / Low-Latency Forex VPS: What We Actually Measured
Most "1ms latency" claims are a ping to the host's own network, which tells you nothing about your broker. We measured real TCP round-trips from the regions we sell to the broker's own published address, for 4,092 broker servers, across 16,617 region/server pairings. Here is the distribution, including the parts that are not flattering.

Each figure is a TCP handshake from a probe in the region we would sell you, to the broker server's own host and port. We validated the approach against MetaTrader's own reported ping on live MT5 terminals: 8 of 10 agreed within 10ms, median difference +1.3ms.
The known failure mode, stated plainly: MT4 and MT5 often connect to an access server that redirects the terminal elsewhere, so a published address can measure far worse than the connection a trader actually gets. Our error direction is consistently conservative — the TCP figure reads higher than real terminal ping, never lower — so these numbers under-sell rather than over-promise.

Because sub-1ms to a broker requires being in the same building as its matching engine, which is colocation, not general-purpose cloud. Where our measurement genuinely comes in under 1ms we say so, and that is currently 560 of 4,092 measured servers.
They are re-swept periodically, because routes drift and brokers move servers. Each server page shows the date its figure was measured, so you can judge staleness yourself instead of trusting an undated number.
